Doggie friends, we love out little dog our daughter gave us as when they moved they could not keep him. He is such a good dog and just right for two old foggies like us. Such joy and excitment when we come home jump jump lick lick and same when we say yes you want to come for a ride. I think we really spoil him as like today we were going out for lunch after church and went home first to let him outside and say do you want to go for a ride. He flies out the door and into the car(my husband has the door open of course) and we take him with us. He doesn't mind waiting in the car I think he rather do that then stay home. Never makes a mess, never gets into the garbage or any other mischief like some dogs. My daughter did a excellent job raising him just right for a older couple, lively but not to wild. The surprizing part is all the years we had cats and dogs Mel was never interested in them just tolerated them for the kids sakes. This dog he takes it for a walk every day and feeds him to much samples of food, and even gets on the floor and plays with him. It sure makes me laugh. I don't know if there is a lesson in this or not its just a happy story.
I wanted to stop by and say hi. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I'm an avid reader too. That's one good thing about winter, time to read and do some indoor hobbies that have been put off all summer. Marnie
Why do you suppose we get to be the "master" when they have so much more wisdom that we do? Makes absolutely no sense to me.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I want when I'm feeling blue.....
Sage is more apt to lick us than nuzzle ... but I guess it's the thought that counts. It's amazing how perceptive these pets can be. Love you!

mom/caryn, Hey...maybe their 'wisdom' is a result of not being as stubborn as some folks?
ReplyDeleteJanet, That Sage is a keeper, she sure knows how to spread joy around!
Rosalie, I loved your Fletcher story. I'd like to meet him some day.
my husband needs this to hear this blog....
