Miss Kitty

"A nap between two pillows"

In the sing-song list of 'a few of our favourite things', catching Miss Kitty asleep in a sunbeam has got to be right up there for me. I tried to figure out why exactly, and I'm not sure, except I know my heart gets a little thrill. Perhaps it symbolizes that sense of well being and contentment we all long for. I realize again how glad she's a part of my life and I'm a part of hers.

  1. The other thing the snoozin' kitty brings to mind is how wonderful are naps - anywhere and anytime, but especially in the sun!

  2. My husband talks to Victoria in the morning, asking her if "Suzie Sunbeam" has come to visit. (Yes... he is rather strange.) :)

She loves to stretch out in the morning sun and does not understand cloudy days at all.

  3. Seeing a cat who is happy and well-loved gives us a thrill too!

  4. They are so darn cute and content and like "Sassy Granny" said, naps are wonderful.

  5. I love this and can totally relate. One of my favorite things is to see my dogs taking a nap in the one sunny spot in the house. It's so cute how they find that. :)

  7. As they say, "there's now home complete without a cat upon the hearth." I might be feeling more loving toward a resident kitty sleeping in the sunshine if she hadn't busted into the food supply and become very ill. Ackkk!
