Sprightly Spring Sight....

Nothing says Spring quite like tulips. And nothing puts a S-p-r-i-n-g in my step quite like a bouquet or two of them in my house.

This fine, fragrant bunch has been giving me pleasure for several days now. And although they didn't come from my own garden -- which is still filled with worn out piles of melting snow -- the delight of it all pulses through 'me' veins and gives me hope!

Joyfully,
Brenda

  1. They do make a gal smile and those are not just any ordinary tulips either. My garden is still under mounds of dirty, melting snow, too. I can hear my neighbor's blower hard at work in his yard, but mine is so small and on the north side and it's still loaded with ice and other stuff. Another week perhaps...

  2. Dear Brenda - whether they are blooming outdoors or indoors...fresh tulips are such a glorious site. Thanks for sharing them with me...I too have none blooming as yet...spring is slow this year. God bless.

  3. They look very cheery and joy giving! Snow's been melting around here but no cheery flowers peeking their nose out yet. Hopefully that is not far away.

  5. Glorious Day, Brenda!
It's so lovely to hear your 'voice' again. I hope all is well.
Those are some of the smiley-est tulips I've ever seen! Thank you for turning up the corners of my lips this morning! lol There's still snow on the ground here, too, but it is a bright sunny day out there with a rainfall warning for tomorrow, so, hopefully, that'll finish it off. I'm heading out now to hunt for pretty tulips!

  6. So lovely to see this post pop up in my reader. Tulips brighten a home and a heart whether they come from the shop or the yard. I'm glad the snow is disappearing round your place. Have a bright and beautiful weekend, Brenda.

  7. Oh, yes, nothing heralds spring quite like tulips! These are beauties, Brenda. You must know the trick for caring them (cut stems ever day and place in cool water) to have them last for days. One of things I miss about working in the flower shop is seeing all the variety and vast amounts of tulips each Spring.
