We Got Mail!

Yesterday the cutest artwork arrived in my mailbox. A few weeks ago Queenmother had a blog giveaway and it was my name that was drawn. We are a happy recipient!

Now.... don't you think that is the cutest chicken you ever did see?

Tucked also inside the envelope was a very pretty hand painted book mark. As I like to say, you just can't have too many bookmarks! It'll be a lovely addition to my collection.

Thanks so much, Queenmother ... what a delightful treat!

Wishing you all a beautiful day
with a little bit of fun tucked in there somewhere,
Brenda

  2. Yes. It's quite a chick! :)

Can't help but think of my mother, who loved chickens and had a small collection of roosters & hens. I thought they were corny when I was a young girl; now ... not so much.

Now they represent all that's good about life, from farming the good earth to caring for it's creatures; from Sunday church to backyard picnics - and oh so much more.

    Blessings,
    Kathleen

  4. Glad you liked the Funky Chicken. As you can tell the bookmark was a very early attempt at art. The chicken is a lot newer. I am still working on getting better. But I agree with Bernie I love anything done my hand because I know it was made for me.
    Enjoy

  5. I forgot to tell you. It is finished with a spray varnish and does not need a glass over it, if you want to frame it.
