Such glorious colours splashed this morning over this vast canvas called sky!
Photo taken from my back deck, January 2009
These sunset photos remind me today of that old song from Fiddler on the Roof -- I always find the lyrics from Sunrise, Sunset sweetly poignant.
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears

Rebekah, It is neat, isn't it!
ReplyDeleteGuy, Thanks for stopping by. I just went by your place....amazing photos!
That painting takes me high to the skies. Nice poem you have there too.
ReplyDeleteThe sunsets here in Arizona are equally splendid. We live nestled against the While Tank Mountains (mole hills, as commpared to real mountains), and when the sun begins to set it's as if God has tossed various paint brushes into the valleys and onto the ridges.
ReplyDeleteBeatiful pic!
Nice colors! Now I'm seriously thinking to have my DSLR. I'm just counting days..
ReplyDeleteGreat Sky watch picture Brenda. Don
ReplyDeleteThat's one of Mom's favorite songs, and your pink sky is lovely. Mom has a pink sky collage in her post yesterday.
ReplyDeleteYour deck must have magical qualities to produce such beauty.
