Happy Spring Day

We've been out doing some clean up in the garden the last couple of days. Yes, yes, it would appear that we are seeing the backside of winter ... finally! Spring cometh.

What a treat to sit awhile in the warm sunshine. We revel in how comforting its warmth is not only to face and back, but to one's soul too. Add the happy whistles and mating calls of a myriad of birds finding shelter in our small garden and we're basking in the bounty of God's beautiful creation with overflowing hearts.

The so-long wait for Spring this year has sharpened my senses to see these simple pleasures around me. And I'm grateful for them.

Wishing you glimpses of heaven in unexpected places,
Brenda

  1. Spring is still struggling to stay with us at the Hollow. Lots of rain has been blessing the lawns and emerging blossoms.

I've been away from home and away from a computer for about ten days. I have some catching up to do. I've read your last several posts and felt encouraged, uplifted and entertained by them. I am mosst grateful for the reminder to dust off dreams, take a deep breath, and step toward making them happen... Ahhhh, if only I could find an add for a Mediterranean castle for the month of April. A small villa in the Southern tip of Italy, and a motor scooter sound like a perfect getaway to me.

For the most part, I feel like I'm living my dreams... but, there are still a few unrealized wishes on the first star I saw some long ago night that I can work for.

  2. Caryn, Good to hear from you! You know what, one day not even so long ago, it dawned on me that I, too, am living in my dreams. Sometimes we can get in a mode of expectation for 'someday' we don't realize that someday came.

Of course, there are other dreams I'm still working on, but oh the joy of heart's desires fulfilled.

  6. Just catching up on my blog reading and quite enjoyed your posts. I have a hard time dreaming - have always been a realist - even as a child. I have a wonderful time remembering all the fantastic places I've been and hubby and I relive them often nowadays. I'm looking forward to visits with family next week in lower mainland BC. Ahh, a trip through the mountains always refreshes my spirit!
