How Old Are You?

Heard this little joke recently and had to share with you:

"My young grandson called the other day to wish me Happy Birthday.
He asked me how old I was, and I told him, 80.

My grandson was quiet for a moment,
and then he asked, "Did you start at one?"

This one made me laugh out loud...

PS. And no -- I am not 80!

  1. That is funny! Kids do say the cutest things! And Happy Belated Birthday!

  2. laughter really is the best medicine:))

  3. Ha ha ha ha ha That was funny. Hope your new year of life is fabulous! Susan

  4. too funny-he probably can't count that high!

  5. Out of the mouth of babes ... I hope you had a good day!

By the way, your lovely cushion is out of the box and in my bedroom, giving me as much pleasure as in our previous house!

  7. this reminds me of Art Linkletter... we watched him all the time when i was growing up! he interviewed little kids, asked them questions... you never knew what was coming out of the 'mouths of babes'!!!

  8. Hope that you had a cake just like that one! Since I'm late, let's call it your happy birthday week. Share a little more about it, if you get the chance.

  9. Sorry to have inadvertently misled you with this posting..... I was just sharing the joke about birthdays... it wasn't my own!

Mine is earlier in the year.... but since I enjoy s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g' birthday celebrations, I'm happy to still receive all your kind wishes! Thank you!

  10. Thanks for the laugh, Brenda! I love the logic of small children and how they just blurt things out.

Hope you're having a wonderful summer so far!

  11. Thanks for the cute joke. Kids see things in such an original way. Love the yummy looking cake. Great picture, too.

  12. Hi Brenda...that little joke made me smile. I admit, I had to read your post a second time with more care...it threw me for a loop that you would be 80...you look so much younger in your photo. And of course, you are! Younger that is, not 80 - LOL!

  13. What a cute story! Didn't think you could possibly be 80. If you were, you could become rich by sharing how you look so young!

  14. ha ha h that is a classic... but are you really 80!? Thank you for visiting, love Helen, Darcy and Bingley xxx
