Guest Blogging on InScribe Today

"What better way is there to compliment someone
than to engage with what they've written by taking
the time to write a few words back to them?"

The Wrong and Right Way to Leave Blog Comments, Jan 27, 2021

Good Morning! There's sunshine in the neighbourhood this morning, and its brightness belies the cold temperature that's hovering at -18C.

I'm guest blogging over on InScribe today. Using the letter "C" as the prompt, I am writing about how to "Cultivate the Art of Leaving Comments". I hope you'll pop over and say hi. Click HERE

I'll be back on the weekend with my regular blog post - it'll be a book post. Until then....

Wishing you a beautiful day,

Brenda

  1. For some reason, I'm not able to leave a comment over at Inscribe, but I wanted to say how much I agree with what you say. I no longer blog publicly, though I have a couple private blogs for family. When I did blog publicly, one of my constant sources of frustration was people not commenting, or even not returning a visit to their blog with a visit to mine. I look at blogging like having a conversation, and when people don't respond, it's like you are talking to yourself. It's very disheartening to say the least. Especially when you've poured your heart into a blog post and were maybe even vulnerable. Blogging has changed dramatically since I first started blogging in 2006. Back then, comments were regular, and return blog visits were the norm. As blogging has become a business, the friendliness has been largely lost. Your blog has remained friendly---and beautiful!

    1. So nice to hear from you, Patti! Oh yes, a lot of water under the bridge, as they say, since those early blogging days. You mentioned starting in 2006, and I started in 2008 - both a long time ago. Thank you for your lovely comment about my blog - appreciate it. Wishing you a beautiful week ahead.

  2. Comments are so nice, aren't they? So I am curious and will pop over to see what you have to say about them.

    1. Thanks, Betty, for the heads up on that Anonymous comment.

To My Beautiful Readers,

Some people come into our lives, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never the same. ~ Franz Peter Schubert

Thank you so much for leaving your 'footprint' here in my comment box. I do appreciate you taking a moment to share your thoughts today.
