Fiddling Your Time Away?

Have you ever fiddled away your time to work on a certain project, only to be suddenly faced with the deadline and now you aren't finished?

Oh yes, I've done that too many times to count. And, I hate how that makes me feel... rushed, overwhelmed, and mad at myself.

Today I've posted on my writers' group blog about that very thing trying to uncover why I do that and to share some Tips on how to change.

If you've got your own fiddling issues, I hope you'll take a moment to click and read Fiddler on the Post.

Wishing you a great day,
Brenda

No coffee refills??? No wonder I don't accomplish much some days!!!

  3. I tend to be pretty organized and get projects done in a timely manner. I think it is because I work in advertising sales for newspapers and magazines for 25 years and had daily deadlines. There was no room for fiddling...

  5. This probably isn't new to anyone reading it, but breaking down tasks into small bites has made a big difference for me.

On those occasions when I'm feeling really lazy, the question that has helped is What's the next action?

Maybe on a given day, the task of "processing all the photos I took at Tabby's Place today" feels like too much work, but the next action, downloading the pictures from the camera card, isn't so daunting.

  6. I sure enjoyed your comments, everyone! Glad to know I'm not totally alone in this world, and I am happy to know that some folks, like you Penny and A Few Good Cats, have mastered the art of getting things done minus the fiddling.

Hey, I just read about that idea of 'what's the next action' and that has helped me already too. I'll have to keep implementing it so it becomes a habit to ask.

To My Beautiful Readers,
