Heading out to visit family for coffee ... with fresh from the oven pumpkin muffins in tow.
The morning is so alive with blue skies, red berries, russet leaves on shrubs, not to mention the stubborn Swedish aspens even more golden with the sun streaming through their yellow leaves. (They don't drop their leaves in any hurry, I'm happy to say.) The chickadees are chittering at the feeders and some cheeky magpie comes early this morning requesting peanuts.
Perfectly autumn.
Wishing you a beautiful day ... and also prayers for anyone near that hurricane.
Hugs,
Brenda

Sounds like a warm family gathering with coffee and homemade pumpkin muffins Brenda. We're having quite a downpour right now but I never complain about late rains, the new shrubs and other plants need them to be ready for winter.
ReplyDeletePerfectly autumn, nicely put! Your autumn sounds lovely.
ReplyDeleteHope that you are having a wonderful autumn day! xx
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful fall day here, too!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfectly lovely fall day there, Brenda. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely day! I made pumpkin chocolate chip bread (with spiced glaze) this morning. Guess great minds think alike. Lol! Enjoy your bright beautiful Fall day! xo

The muffins were delicious, thanks for treat!
ReplyDeleteDear Brenda - Those pumpkin muffins sound delicious. May I join you?? Hope you enjoy this autumn day. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHow coincidental! I just baked pumpkin muffins today! It sounds like they were the perfect treat! We are truly blessed with a lovely fall here! Thoughts going to those who are in danger with the heavy rains from the hurricane!
ReplyDeletePumpkin muffins and coffee with family sounds like a great way to begin your day. I hope the delights continued.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a nice visit with family. I was out to see my dad today, but he slept through most of my visit. The rain kept us from our usual outing of a walk along a trail (which also usually keeps him more alert!). Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
