Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day
is the rest we take between two deep breaths.
~ Etty Hillesum
If you are feeling a little weathered from the stress of the week or maybe even a little numb by all the stuff expected or toted as 'must do this or have this' in order to have a merry Christmas, then Dr. Brenda is definitely prescribing some 'toes up' time.
I think I could take my prescription quite nicely in this cozy, cute sitting room. How about you? Looks like there's room for two.
Taking time for peace and rest today... and I'm wishing you plenty of heaven moments in unexpected places.
Hugs,
thanks for a great suggestion, I'd also add don't feel guilty to say no to others now and then and a big YES to yourself...
ReplyDeleteGood point, Lin. Enjoy your day!
DeleteAfter such a busy week, this looks simply wonderful. Okay, I'm pulling up a chair beside you, Brenda.... ahhhhhhh... bliss. :o)
ReplyDeleteToes up time...lovely thought...may have to go there, too. Look for an email...☺
ReplyDeletePretty neat how photo can have fire burning......I feel warmer already!
ReplyDeleteI think I will join you in that lovely room, Brenda!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dr. Brenda! How DID you get that fire to "burn"?!?
ReplyDeleteThe photo source is from Glitter Graphics, so the individual who posted it there must have created created an animated gif (I have no idea how that's done either).
DeleteBut it's fun, isn't it... might be worth looking for info on how to do such things.
Photoscape has a good animated gif maker and it is free.
ReplyDeleteOh how sweet of Jane to give permission because this is one cozy picture.
Thanks, Vee, for the tip about the animated gif maker.
DeleteOh, I'd love to have some toes up time in that cozy room. After a great, but busy weekend away, and a call to teach tomorrow, I'm ready to just relax. Reading blogs does that, but my room is not nearly as cozy as the one you've shown. Perhaps tomorrow, after I'm home, I'll put my feet up.
ReplyDeleteAn excellent idea. Sometimes just stopping for a short break is all it takes to recharge us.
