The skies were dark and cloudy this morning.
And then, the Dawn Painter rose.
We scurried for our camera.
Have you ever noticed that skies filled with lots of clouds
seem to provide the best canvas for the most amazing sunrises (or sunsets)?
My artist friend says you need dark to show light.
Perhaps the Dawn Painter uses the clouds in our own lives
as canvas for those breathtaking mosaics
we are promised but still can't quite see or even imagine.
When I saw the dawn filling the eastern sky this morning
I felt hope arise...
and today I pray for those who mourn.
May the Comforter spread a Quilt of quiet peace
over grief-rendered hearts.
And may a ribbon of hope begin to weave around
lives broken by recent events.
With a hug and 'holy' kiss atop your heads,

ReplyDeleteA beautiful sunrise sure does stir the soul with hope. I like how you say that about the Dawn Painter using the clouds of our own lives as a canvas for a promised breathtaking mosaic. I am awaiting the masterpiece that He wants to bring forth out of this dark moment is so many lives. I know God got some TV time on Dr. Oz today.
