Last night I enjoyed the simple pleasure of first looking out my window,
then racing out into the backyard to watch the Great Sky Artist
create yet another masterpiece for our pleasure.
I wonder how many people even noticed.
A few seconds later the scene w-i-s-p-e-d away.

I can't even begin to describe the incredible masterpiece painted last summer. It's a memory I'll carry forever. The most amazing part was the my 86 year old grandmother was with us and it was something that she really needed right then. Not only is He the Master Artist, he's THE Master! I'll always thank Granny for that one because I believe He painted it just for her...

nature has so many gifts to give us from god...
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there are many I've missed in my busyness. Thanks for sharing these!
ReplyDeleteSuch scenes always do. I was sitting at the window of a restaurant with my hubby the other evening admiring a great white cloud filled with light and color and thinking how nice to watch it. The next minute or two when I looked back...gone...as if it had never been there. Thank you for thinking quickly of your camera. I think we need to keep them about our necks at all times. :D
ReplyDeleteSince I started blogging two years ago, and the need to photograph anything and everything became a necessity, I've not missed the changing skies or the little things that most normally take for granted. Even the simple things become something wonderful when you are seeking a positive experience. :) Happy day to you! Tammy
ReplyDeleteBrenda,
ReplyDeleteA lovely simple pleasure for sure...the ever changing sky put there by The Master for us to enjoy if we only take the time.

I've been enjoying the changing views of the sky as well. I am so glad I can watch the handiwork of the Great Sky Creator. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about the way it wisps away in an instant. I try my best to capture sky artistry, but I often lament that my pictures just don't do it justice.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Remember looking up at the sky and trying to discern different things in the clouds as a child? One of the favorite activities I used to share with the boys when they were growing up. When did life get so busy?
ReplyDeleteNice! We took the long way home from Mister's parents' house today. It is nearly an hour longer, but takes us through some of the most rugged roads in Southwest Va. It was breathtaking! How many things we can miss if we don't pay attention!
ReplyDeleteAs someone who was born in Saskatchewan and grew up on the prairies, I am a sky watcher from way back. Beautiful
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! We had a show in our sky this evening...lightening dancing everywhere.Chris Tomlin said it well "Indescribable...you put the stars in the sky and you know them by name. You are amazing God!"
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos, Brenda!
ReplyDeleteSky-watching is a favourite pass-time of mine :-)
And it's so true..you look away for a few seconds and everything has changed.
The fascinating art of God's creative genius!
blessings..Trish
I love the way you framed the sky with the branches. So artistic and a great complement to those heavenly skies.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I recieved my gift yesterday, in the mail. Wow! You were right. It smells great.
It's those kinds of simple discoveries that make us love traveling the back roads. How much more beautiful the sky and the fields when not colored by the speed of our busy lives.
ReplyDeleteI like that you enjoy capturing nature's beauty like I do. Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteI'm one of those people who has to stop the car on the side of the road whenever I see magnificent sky art, especially in the evenings. It lasts for only a short while, but brings lasting pleasure to me. Your photos are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo true Brenda. So much of our focus is indoors these days we tend to ignore the sky too often. I'm beginning to take more notice of the sky again for the sheer beauty and inspiration it gives.
