Word Verification Woes

To get the word verification turned off!

But apparently I'm on the new Blogger interface, and for whatever reason the word verification is not available on it.

Which means, after some research, I need to go to the Old Blogger interface (that's where you're supposed to click on the little grey wheel in the right hand corner under your photo on the new dashboard).

Because clicking on the little grey wheel gives you a drop-down menu, and you should be able to select 'the old Blogger interface'.... only in my case...

I see other bloggers are having the same issues and I did leave Blogger Admin a note. Well, it seems that one blogger at 66 Square Feet found the old blogger interface and shares the steps here.

In the meantime, I apologize for the inconvenience of you having to try and interpret the ugly two-word verification so you can leave a footprint in my comment box. I hope you won't give up just yet.

Wishing you a wonderful day,
because in spite of word verification woes,
it's still a beautiful day!

  1. Yes, Captcha is a wonderful thing and everyone who uses it is doing something worthwhile. It is, however, a great annoyance when visiting blogs. Fine for getting into one's bank statement. Another thing entirely for trying to visit a lot of blogging buddies. I hope that your "gear" returns. =D

And yours is particularly nasty in that it won't accept my attempts and I'm really trying.

  2. Mmmm....makes me wonder if something else went a-wry when B*logger removed my blogs a couple of weeks ago. I've looked everywhere to see if I can find the word verification in every possible nook... nada!

Vee, I'm sorry your attempts are so 'nasty'.

  3. I've found the word verification very frustrating but it doesn't deter me from leaving comments!!

  4. Me too, Staci! I type them in and hope for the best.

  5. well, I never upgraded to the new stuff so it was easy to delete word recognition but I did need to check no anonymous comments as I immediately got 3 spam comments. That worked. Good luck.

  6. Hi Lin, I agree, sometimes the old is good... and if it ain't broke, don't fool with it. Thanks for your patience to still leave comments!

  7. I sure hope someone fixes this problem. The new interface, in my view, is NOT a step up!

  8. The Captcha word verification is often confusing, and I try several times to get the right letters. But it doesn't deter me from leaving comments where I like.

I hope you manage to find the correct settings! So frustrating.
