A Beautiful Day Ahead

I got up early this morning ...is 2:30 am early enough? Had a few things to work on this morning before my day 'officially' started. I am really a night owl, because it's so much easier to get things done when all is quiet and still than when the sun shines. I'm really not that good at making hay then. The fun part of either staying up late or getting up early is that I have one nephew who is usually up that time too, so we chat a bit online as the rest of the world sleeps.

But now the day begins. The sun is bright already. Later this afternoon I go to pick up my mom. We're looking forward to her visit -- Kitty and I have been getting things ready. Quilting, blogging, and lots of visiting and laughing are part of the plan so far.

As author Janette Oke once said, "Getting things accomplished isn't nearly as important as taking time for love."

Here's wishing you glimpses of beauty every time you turn around today!

  1. Have fun with Mom! Sounds like a lot of great plans! Please check your email for a question to you...

  2. Sounds like a perfect afternoon to me! I've been quilting and blogging, too - however all of my "visiting" has been in cyberspace!

  3. I am not an early riser, but I am a night owl and can stay up til 3 or 4.

    Have fun with your Mom!

  4. I like being up when it's dark, also. Usually it's very early morning.
How fun to have your nephew all to yourself at that time.
Have a great visit with your mom.

  5. I love the idea of quilting and visiting! How about a cuppa tea??

  6. I like that quote! So true and a great reminder.

  7. you do get up early, I'd sleep all afternoon if I got up and stay up that early...lol!

To My Beautiful Readers,

Some people come into our lives, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never the same. ~ Franz Peter Schubert
