Clearing The Deck

We've been pulling apart the study/computer room.

What's that old saying about needing to make a mess before you can clean.
Well, we've done a good job on that step.

Paper and boxes and whatnot have perched on just about every square inch of space.
Including Miss Kitty's chair(s).

We're not finished yet...

but order is starting to emerge from the chaos.

And, that makes me feel quite giddy!

Oh, and lest anyone worry that I'm working too hard without any little pleasures tucked in, we had some 'stolen' moments for savoring squares of that silky dark chocolate. We started reading that 'delicious confection', as Daily Telegraph describes the book 'The Enchanted April' by Elizabeth Von Arnim. Pure delight.

So, all is well. When my study is finished and in order, I've decided I'm treating myself to visiting all my blogging friends.... now that's motivation!

Happy Day,

  1. Brenda, good luck with your cleaning! Have a great weekend.

  2. I like your new spring look! :)

  3. Omagosh... what a sweet haven you have! It also looks like you have a pretty fine collection of lovely cards for all occasions.

Well... I'm going to dig deeper into your past blogs and catch up on your life.

  4. spring cleaning huh? good job

  5. Oh I like all that order and perhaps I can used you as my inspiration to get my little office organized once again. Nice to see you posting again and I'm so glad that you are adding little pleasures to your day.

  6. You have a lovely blog! Such as nice rest stop on the highway of life.

  7. There's something about spring that energizes people to reorganize and clean. I really like your new photo with the quilt and flowers. So colourful!

And savouring silky dark chocolate - just perfect. I'm a fan of Lindt 70% myself.

    enjoy the weekend,

  8. I'm so glad you finished your "clearing the deck".
And thanks for the visit. Your words are very much appreciated.
Buy the way, it looks great!

  9. Your new header is beautiful, the yellow against the blue.

I so enjoy Spring. Even spring cleaning.

    Have fun!

  10. Glad you are finding time to relax as well as de-clutter. I don't have that task this year as we have just moved house so it has all been done! A
