Mellow Yellow Monday #18

It's a bright and beautiful Monday morning. The birds are out in full force and the leaves are finally loosening their grip on their tightly furled buds. It's a great day to enjoy the warmth and fun of Mellow Yellow Monday.

The author at Mellow Yellow Monday says yellow is her favourite colour. She thinks the world is always better with a splash of yellow. I agree, so here's my splash for today!

There are painters that can change
the sun into a yellow blot,
but there are others, that due to
their talent and intelligence
can change a yellow blot into the sun."
~ Pablo Picasso

Here's wishing you a happy and cheery Monday!

  1. I haven't seen these flowers before, thanks for sharing!

  2. Love the flowers. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment.
I think you may be right that we have a kindred spirit. Your blog is so happy! :-)
    I'll be back.

  3. Very lovely crocuses!

  4. I love yellow and purple flowers together-beautiful!

  5. I absolutely love spring! When I lived up North in the Seattle/Tacoma area, I had crocuses too (here in AZ they'd simply be croaks; too hot!). I also loved the hyacinths, tulips and primroses ... none of which make it here either.

But here ... oh my, the oleander, fairy dusters, bougainvillea, bird of paradise, and other heat-acclimated flowers are simply devine.

  6. Those crocuses are great!

  7. Very nice. Crocuses are another one of my favourite flowers. I had them in my garden back in New Zealand..

    Great photo !!! :-)

  8. The universe provides beauty in all our climates.
These cheery little flowers are perfect for these northern climates. Spring tends to be too long and summer too short!

  9. We had one of those sunny mornings here as well.
Sounds like a great day. :-)

  10. Beautiful flowers! Yellow just seems to make Mondays better.
