Sunny Saturday...

2009 by Brenda Colleen Leyland

On such a bright and sunny Saturday, and temperatures hovering at -30C, this is a very good day to stay close to home and computer. I have a real hankering to blog today; however, as I do feel the clock ticking and my January Mary Kay newsletter must get out, I really do have to set aside my blogging longings and wrestle with pink thoughts today.

Since the day is so cheerful out, Rick and I plan to brave the frost and head to the library later in the day for a wee
snoop around. Of course, as we all know, it's not that I don't have any books at home, but you never know what will entice and allure. And.. I do have the 'support my local library' challenge to begin. (smile)

Oh... if you're looking for something new and interesting, you might
want to check out a book I came across recently, A Year of Mornings.

Although the blog site with the same name is no longer available, A Year of Mornings, which began as 'an almost daily photo conversation, in blog form, between two friends that live 3191 miles apart', is now available in book form. An amazing journey!

I best be off..... enjoy your day...... enjoy your blogging. I'll join you soon!

Pinkly yours,

  1. aren't you the blogger who was going to first read all the books in her house before adding to the pile? lol
go for the library-it makes a fun outing.

  2. Ha ha! Thankfully MizB (author of that particular reading challenge) gives her participants the happy leeway of allowing this reading challenge to overlap with others.... so I figure it'll work out 'in the wash', as they say.

BTW, we only visited the DVD section, so no books came home with us today!(LOL)

  3. Brenda I live in Florida and my mind can not even comprehend your weather, ha. Thanks for the book recommendation.

Happy New Year and thank you for stopping by my place.

  4. Lori, Good to hear from you. Sometimes our minds (and bodies) can't comprehend it either!

  5. Hope you had a good outing!

  6. Sherri, A lovely outing, in spite of frosty bites from the weather. Thx!
