Dormant

No clicking or clattering
No fancy pen dipping in antique inkwell

No ideas budding into words just now

All is dormant
Peaceful
Quiet as a wintry garden outside

Just as trees have gathered life down deep under frozen landscape
so this soul feels drawn to hibernate a while.

Be still
Be still and know
Know

To everything there is a season

Now is time to come away.
Rest. Dream. Ruminate.
Fill creative well.

Rest. Be still. Know.

The time will come.
With new life...
New words too.

We shall return.
Refreshed.
Ready to share again.

Thinking fond thoughts of you, Dear Ones!

Hugs,
Brenda

  9. January is the perfect month for quietness, stillness, thoughtfulness. After the Christmas season, this month has become a enjoyable time for me to reflect, declutter not only my home but my mind and spirit. To every thing there is a season...so true.

  10. How did you get to be so wise? Lol Love this, dear Brenda, as always.
We have 11 degrees Celsius here in Newfoundland today! Tomorrow, the forecast is calling for below freezing temperatures again. Savouring the reprieve for the moment.
Wishing you a beautiful start to a brand new week,

Some people come into our lives, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never the same. ~ Franz Peter Schubert
