Knee Deep In June

SITTING at my desk on an early morning,
I have a glorious view of...

Bright blue skies with wispy clouds...

A bush of deep purple lilacs peeking over top the fence
from the neighbour's yard...

The Toba Hawthorne tree coming into bloom and,
nestled on the branches right now, some cheery red-stained
purple finches.

'Tis a lovely morning, fresh and bright with anticipation for gardening and hanging out in the sunshine a while. The birds earlier were a-tweet and a-flutter but it's quieter now as I type.

So, what would you be seeing from your own 'perch' this morning?

Wishing you glimpses of the beautiful today!

  1. You had a bit more color than I did, Brenda, but I DID spend some time at my "perch" this morning--reading and writing (and drinking my coffee). It was a glorious and quite time of reflection for me...just a beautiful time.

  2. My view earlier this morning was pretty much all grey. Now as I look out the window now, I see patches of blue and some sunshine peaking in through various puffy white and other clouds. You have a lot more color out your way.

  3. My view today is sunny, even though the skies are gray with a bit of rain. I'm finding JOY just puttering and do homey things. It's sunny in the Cottage.

  5. With views like that you know life is indeed beautiful! We have sunshine today, after days of rain, and I spy weeds that need pulling out.

  6. Similar delights though the lilacs are long gone. No purple finches either. Well, nothing much the same at all, but the blue sky! That's enough.

  7. Your lilacs are so deep and richly coloured. Ours are gone, but peonies are the order of the day. I'm a few days late reading this post, but I hope your weekend was just as beautiful.
