I HEARD ABOUT the movie, but never got to actually see the new silent film The Artist. Did you see it?
Then yesterday while I was out doing errands, I heard a piano piece from the movie being played over the radio.
I was smitten! I was so entranced I almost forgot to drive (well, not really).
Trusting that I'd find it on Youtube, I made sure to fix the name in my mind so I could search for it when I got home. We were in luck.
So I'm notefully delighted to share my newest favourite piece of music.... in my view a glimpse of heaven 'for your ears only'........ the lovely and very moving Comme une rosee de larmes, by Ludovic Bource.
Enjoy!
PS. Mmmm... looks like this movie is up for lots of Academys!

Lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Makes me wish that I had kept up with my piano lessons. It hearkens back to a former time, which charms me all the more...
ReplyDeleteHi Brenda, this is such a beautiful piece, I just love it. I always enjoy your blog so much, you grace us with so many beautiful thoughts and images. I always know I am going to find something uplifting and inspiring. Thank you too Brenda for the sweet comment and kind concern you showed for Barkley. All the support was really comforting to me. He is about 80% better and is resting comfortably. It is so wonderful to hear him squeaking his toys again! I hope you have a restful night ahead and a lovely sunday tomorrow! With Love, Delisa :)
ReplyDeleteStaci, it is exquisite, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteVee, I was thinking about looking for the sheet music (if they have any) for this piece, and dusting off the piano keys myself. I used to play a lot and then lost interest. Maybe this piece will be the catalyst to rekindle my old love.
Delisa, I am so happy for your report about Mr. Barkley and that he's back to squeaking his toys. Joy! And thank you for your so kind words about your visits here. They bless me!
will have to check it out...thanks!
ReplyDeletehow about taking off your word recognition...it's a pain...to decipher.
Now I know that movie is on my list of must see! Thank you for sharing and wish you a blessed week, Lucy.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Brenda. I want to see that movie more than ever now...I have always wanted to play piano and think that I may actually take lessons one day soon...I'll have loads of time to practice when I retire. :-) Love your blogs!
