A SIGH OF relief... all for the satisfaction of a job completed and nicely done. I just e-mailed my blogging column to the editor of our writers' fellowship quarterly newsletter. (Sorry to admit, it was due today -- but can I crow about the fact that the previous column was submitted three months early? I must say, I prefer the previous feeling of being ahead instead of squeeling in just ahead of the checkered flag!)
I did have fun in all the doing though. Interesting, I just found this quote by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe: "He who enjoys doing and enjoys what he has done is happy."
That's exactly how I feel about my piece. I enjoyed doing it and I feel good about what I accomplished. Yes, I'm happy tonight! I shall sleep well.
Alas, the day has fled... and now I don't have time to pop by for a wee visit. So I'll wish you a pleasant evening and dreams that are sweet and restful! I'll see you soon.
Hugs to you all,

ReplyDeleteAhhh... the satisfaction of a job well done. Perhaps you enjoy the adrenalin rush of a project turned in just ahead of the bell? I do my best work under pressure, even when I do not like the feeling.
