'Un Petit' Giveaway #2

This giveaway is about savoring the little pleasures...
the little moments in life...
because sometimes they just are the
SWEET-EST!

Over recent weeks I've been looking for ways to create mini-stops or 'un petit' holidays in the midst of otherwise busy days.

The other day I posted about the best gift is when we're present to the person we're with.  Sometimes that means being present to ourselves.  When we're alone, are we really 'present' to our own hearts whisperings?  Are we noticing the little gifts that come our way... those glimpses of heaven in unexpected places?

Through this little giveaway, I want to create one of those teeny stops for you by offering you a moment -- in fact 6 teeny moments -- to Stop. Taste. Savor. Enjoy. Relax. Notice.  Rejoice.

And what better way than to set one of these delectable chocolaty confections in front of you on this pretty little dessert plate.

Jacek Chocolate Couture
The Escape 2011 Quarter Collection

  • Twisted Mayan - A twist on a Mayan classic; chilli ganache adorned with anise and vanilla.

    2. What a nice way to gently remind us to take time to savour life's moments.

    3. My first pick would be the Twisted Mayan. It sounds like such an interesting combination... but if I found I didn't like it, I wouldn't want it to be the last taste from that selection of chocolates. I think I'd want the Kiwi Kissed Cocktail to be the last.

    4. This is so delightful! I'm too far away to hope to taste these AMAZING looking chocolates, but I am encouraged to go fetch a chocolate from my cupboard and go sit in the sun on the balcony and savor the moment.

I love your attitude...in just this little post I got such a SENSE of the joy you know how to fill your life with. You get it :) Keep it up - and keep on sharing it with others! That is some of the best work you can do in life :) Blessings to you!

    12. My mouth is watering already.

It's hard to say which one I would choose FIRST because I would save most tantalizing one for LAST - it's all about the anticipation (even though I'd never eat more than one per day). So for the LAST one, I'd choose the Thai Goddess - yum!

      And I'm a follower!

      Thanks for the sweet giveaway!

But the one I would pick first is the Tiramisu Truffle - it combines my two favorite treats: chocolate and cookies!

    19. Oh, Brenda, having been spoiled with some of these divine creations from you before, I know how hard it is to choose where to start! I'm leaning towards the Home Sweet Home because I do adore caramel and love maple syrup.

    23. You are so right--we all need to take the time to be in the moment, because those moments go by all too fast and pretty soon they turn into years!!! Thanks for the reminder to slow down and just BE!

      ReplyDelete
    24. I'm going for the Thai Goddess--oh yes! I'm going on a tropical vacation without the plane ride!!! I may even put on my grass skirt while I eat it (yeah, right!)

      ReplyDelete
    25. I am now a follower--this is such an interesting blog and I am enjoying going back and reading all your previous posts. Thanks for the good advice and the opportunity to win a great prize on top of it! I'm glad I found you!

    26. what a lovely idea and imprtant message. I love chocolate so ALL of them would be favourites but I also loved the little bird dish how sweet and where from? Could it be bought online? Love Helen, Darcy and Bingley xxx

    27. How quickly the weeks flies... and how lovely to get all your comments on this 'sweet' giveaway.

Helen, you asked if the bird plate can be found online -- don't know about that, as I found it at a store here in Canada: HomeSense. I too really like that birdy plate, so I went looking for more.... alas.... they'd all flown away by the time I got back to the store.

      ReplyDelete
    28. Further to Helen's inquiry about if that little birdy dessert plate is available online...... I FOUND it...

It's 222 Fifth "early bird" Fine China.

I'm so excited, because I wanted to get more of these whimsical pieces, and HomeSense (where I bought them) didn't carry anymore.

      So hope that helps!
