Almond Blossoms Journal - Giveaway

I'm excited to announce a new Giveaway -- a copy of this journal with the name Almond Blossoms.

I bought a copy of the journal for myself and I so loved writing in it, I wanted to share the joy with you. This delightful cover is taken from the Almond Blossoms paintings by Vincent Van Gogh. Here's the quote from the back cover: "Symbolizing new, invigorating, budding life, this journal inspires 'our creative souls to bloom'."

Apparently flowering trees were special to Van Gogh as they represented awakening and hope. I'm glad he found joy in painting flowering trees because now we get to share the joy from the fruit of his artistic labour.

I like including meaningful quotes in my journals. Here are a few that seem to fit today's theme of writing and journaling.

"Happiness:  it lies in the joy of achievement,
in the thrill of creative effort."
~ Vincent Van Gogh

"The act of putting pen to paper encourages pause for thought;
this in turn makes us think more deeply about life,
which helps us regain our equilibrium."
~ Norbet Platt

Ink on paper is as beautiful to me as flowers
on the mountains;
God composes, why shouldn't we?
~ Terri Guillemets

The beauty of keeping a journal is that it is your book.
 You get to choose not only when to write, but what to write.
~ Doreene Clement, from article on Old-Fashioned Living

Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.
~ William Wordsworth

  6. I'm never without a journal. This one is so very pretty. Journaling is a way for me to process a lot of stuff that just gets bottled up.

    I love the quote you've written "Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart." Sigh.

    I'm a follower - is that the same as a friend?

  10. Budding branches, new life - oh you just have no idea how much I would Love this journal. I have just left an emotionally abusive 16 year marriage - for good this time. My beautiful 15 year old daughter "has my back" as she says. She told me I needed to end this old hurtful book and start writing a new one and people would say, "Wow, I want to read this book again! It was good." I'm ready to start my new book! This man is also her daddy so unfortunately she knows what we've lived in, so prayers would be most appreciated for us both. I'm so proud of my precious beautiful wise daughter. I'd do it all again 100 times to have her! Anyway, would love to win this journal!

  16. The journal is beautiful, but I love the silky ribbons that wrap around it and tied up in a beautiful bow. It symbolizes the knot the love, prayers and tears that would pour onto the pages of the journal.
