Friday Fill-In

I am joining Janet at Friday Fill-ins and follow her prompts for today's posting. That way I don't have to totally start from scratch (especially when you see what time I'm doing this). So, here we go:

1. Why are you making... life so difficult by trying to do it all yourself?

2. I want you to take... $10.00 and look for one person as you go about your day and bless them in some way with it. Either slip the bill into their hand, buy them a meal, or a small posy of flowers. Something. It doesn't have to be a street person, just someone who catches your heart in some way. Maybe a grandmother, a young child. Maybe a single mom. Maybe someone who reminds you of your favorite person. (don't ask me where that came from)

3. If you don't have any good ideas to share... then it will be on my terms.

4. Seize the day and... really look for opportunities to spread joy and see what happens.

5. I could use a... cup of coffee right now. Either that, or my bed. Because it's 3:42 am, Friday morning. Yes, I'm still up. I've been pretty 'good' lately at getting to bed at a decent hour, but every once in a while my 'night owl' pops up. Which seems to be quite amazing that I should still be up on this particular night, for I just found the perfect quote to go with this event. Listen....
"Nighttime is really the best time to work. All the ideas are there to be yours because everyone else is asleep." ~ Catherine O'Hara

6. When I finish this... post, I will shut down my computer and be off to my pillow.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to... reading some of my library loot book pile, tomorrow my plans include ...going out for breakfast with hubby (hoping) and Sunday, I want to ...enjoy the company of others in God's presence!

Happy Friday!

Here's wishing you glimpses of heaven in unexpected places.

  1. fun posts, I have those nights too and luckily I can take a nap and catch up on my sleep during the day. Sometimes I'll just stay in bed and think until I fall back asleep. It's easier to get up during the night when it's summer and warmer in the house...lol!

  2. That makes for a fun post. My goodness! I don't know how you function with those hours, but I'm sure that it works for you. Hope that you get that breakfast out with your hubby. Saturday breakfasts out are lots of fun.

  4. #2 is such a great answer! I really shouldn't fill in my answers when I'm stressed. As I re-read them today, that fact became very clear!!! Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a great weekend!

  5. It's me! I found your beautiful site. Now I know why you like blogging - it is so creative.
I go to sleep quite easy, after a book falls out of my hand. But, I wake up sometimes between 3:30 - 5:00, then if I can't go back to sleep I get up and clean house.Am I allowed to copy those tips adn share with a friend?

  6. Lin, I was chuckling... we could all have a 'wee hour' chat room with our friends who aren't sleeping either.

For me, it's not from insomnia... rarely have that problem... I just like working in the wee sma'. I like the quiet stillness.

Vee, we're not sure about that either, except I've been at it all day today on 2-3 hours sleep and I feel fine. I'm beginning to suspect that my exercise class are starting to make a difference -- I do have more energy and stamina. By after supper, I'll probably start to feel it, so don't look for me here at 3 this coming morning!

  8. That idea makes for a good post. You are a nightowl. I sometimes stay up late if I have a great book going. Not much in the winter. Just want to get in bed and get warm. Blessings for the weekend.

  10. So, I am up at 1:32 am commenting on your post... LOL. I loved the quote! Yes, I am a night owl and that does not make for good artist (daylight) hours. Enjoy your weekend.

    Blessings,
    Christi
