Busy As A Bee...

Bees work for man,
and yet they never bruise their master's flower,
but leave it having done, As fair as ever as fit to use;
So both the flower doth stay and honey run.

~ George Herbert

It's not so much how busy you are, but why you are busy.
The bee is praised. The mosquito is swatted.

~ Mary O'Connor

Steady as a clock, busy as a bee,
and cheerful as a cricket.

~ Martha Washington

  3. I've been busy today, picking up my newly self published book, so fun. Liked the thought about the bee being busy and the mosquito but it gets swat.

  4. Very nice pictures. That is so true about the fly and the bee. I saw a report on the TV last night about a house in the US that was covered with ladybugs. The trees and all the ground above the house. It was amazing.

  8. Ahhhh, yes. The ever present challenge to be not just busy, but productive.

    It's so much easier just to look like I'm doing something of lasting value. But, I have learned that to be really happy, I need to do at least one thing each week which will continue to bless Mother Earth, or someone who lives on it, after I'm gone.

    Plant a flower, teach a child a poem, write something uplifting...

    Another great post, Brenda.
